Here I sit, so sore that turning over in bed is a challenge. I'll add more later, but I wanted to share my recipe for what I am drinking right now to keep the inflammation in check and hopefully help my muscles repair more easily from this weekend! I need to dance again tonight!
I put in my Vitamix:
Half a can of coconut milk
2 cups hot water
teaspoon of Turmeric powder
1.5 inches of fresh ginger, washed
sprinkle of black pepper (Helps absorption of curcumin in turmeric)
many dashes of cinnamon
dollop of maple syrup
Optional: Clove, Nutmeg, Cayenne (yummy and anti inflammatory)
I may try adding some fennel next time.
I also, in my second cup, added my leftover dandelion root tea from the other day.
